After more than 115 years on this planet blissfully spent without ever coming in contact with one black individual who wasn't a chauffeur, a janitor, or involved in some menial job (poor Cristina Gallardo-Domâs in blackface for Aida doesn't count, sorry), Nikolaus Harnoncourt has finally decided to mingle with the non Aryans by conducting a historically informed concert performance of Gershwin's Porgy And Bess in Graz at Styrian Festival this coming June.
