Towson-based auctioneer Alex Cooper will be handling the upcoming bids on Baltimore Opera Company's personal effects liquidation, and has put up a sealed bid auction catalog here.
The Baltimore Opera Company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December 2008 after 58 years of production.
Full productions of operas are being sold (sets, costumes, and props), including a 1995 Aida (starting at $27,000.00 USD), a 2007 Maria Stuarda ($25,000.00 USD), and a 2006 Norma ($35,000.00 USD).
The most expensive set is the 2001 Tosca, starting at $45,000.00 USD, while the least expensive is a 1998 La Boheme at $10,000.00 USD.
Also up for grabs is "Rene Fleming (Hard Shell)". That's a typo, right? *shudders*
