It was a crazy Fashion Week -- well a long weekend, actually. The highlights of the menswear shows that just ended in Milan, for Opera Chic, are Donatella Versace's Rockabilly kids in high pompadours and ultraslim shiny-grey suits, Rossella Jardini's exquisitely tailored pacifist jackets and grey suits with metal studs and Pop-Art shirts, Frida Giannini's (who, by the way, is probably the coolest woman alive as of today) brash, sexy, 1970s alligator jackets and midnight blues, Tomas Maier's elegant relaxed vibe for Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana's impossibly cool men in black suits (David Gandy's narrow metal tie clip was a nice touch, too), not to mention Philipp Plein's beautifully made (in Italy) leather gear (Plein turned out to be most definitely one to watch-- he's only 32).
