The 2010 Brit Awards took place last night at London’s Earls Court Arena, a glamorous (but rain soaked, of course) gathering of British music talent. Naturally, Katherine Jenkins was there. The pOpera star wrangled herself an invitation and watched as Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Jay Z, and Robbie Williams scooped-up awards.
We're disappointed that Pop Star to Opera Star Rolando didn't show up (because fellow judge Meatloaf did!!) But we're even more disappointed that Jenkins aired-out one of her old dresses at the paparazzi-saturated event. Yes, it's an Alexander McQueen, and yes, she wore it in homage to the British fashion designer who died last week. But as our style icon Anna Dello Russo says in her latest interview with NY Mag, "They took a picture? I cannot wear it anymore." As Fashion Director of Vogue Nippon, she knows what she's talking about.
The millionaire pOpera girl with the unlimited budget was photographed wearing the same McQueen dress in October 2008 to "The Quantum of Solace" UK premiere, although this time she paired it with Yves Saint Laurent 6-inch Tribute heels.
