Deutsche Grammophon brings out the big guns to help celebrate their 111 years of slinging LPs, which began in the winter of 1898 by Hanover-born American brothers, Deutsche & Gramm O'Phon. Just kidding! The bros with the vinyl vision were named Emile and Joseph Berliner. For DG's 111th birthday, they're introducing three limited-edition box sets (comprised of 55 CDs) that are oddly evocative of McDonalds packaging design. Would you like fries with that?
They're also dropping these little treats, using Alagna and Ildebrando for cred (big thanks to Yap!):
Ildebrando d'Arcangelo
