Ew. Get your mind out of the gutter. In a surreal performance at Brandenburg Gate, German soprano Nadja Michael strapped a pair of stilts to her seriously athletic legs to help Berlin celebrate the 12th Annual IAAF World Championships in Athletics. The Olympics-lite festival takes place from August 15-23, and draws an international crowd of competitors who are spurned-on (by the festival's slogan) to HAVE A GOOD TIME!™. Ok yikes whatever. With her bulletproof abs and gymnast body, Nadja could easily hold her own in one of those wrestling matches. Frankly, we're kind of scared...we've seen her Salome at Scala and wouldn't want to tangle with the Leipzig Lightning. Don't believe us? Czech out photos behind the cut.
Go on...we dare you!
As hard as it is to admit it, one cannot avoid to wish that... OK I'll say it-- Leni Riefenstahl, the Richard Wagner of cinema, was around to take some actual awesome footage/fotos of the entire Berlin deal.
Seriously, memo to hi-profile opera singers out there -- and their management -- DO NOT HIRE THIS DUDE TO TAKE YOUR PHOTO thxbi
