Wolfgang Amadé's street cred is apparently very high in England: the Austrian composer's music -- along with Tchaikovsky's -- is used by authorities to keep gangs -- well, English gangs, so we're not exactly talking the Crips and the Bloods here -- at bay.
And works by Tchaikovsky and Mozart blasting out over external speakers seem to be having the desired effect of preventing youths from intimidating customers.
The deterrent is operating at more than 200 Co-operative stores across the country.
