This past Friday, while Opera Chic slacked around Mitteleuropa's opera houses, was Ferruccio Furlanetto's birthday, and since -- we're guilty -- we failed to record the occasion on May 16 as we planned to do, the least we can do today is pay our respects and wish a happy belated birthday to Ferruccio "I Got Teh Powah" Furlanetto, wonderful bass, musician of extraordinary gifts, Italian who honors his country's great musical heritage and instead of partying for his birthday he's right now rawking London, inveterate golfer, real gentleman, consummate pro, helluva guy.
