Last night, our Juan Diego Florez delighted Vienna audiences with his high-C mad skillz in La Fille du Regiment; & he denied those pesky Viennese an encore (because he ONLY loves US, HE REALLY LOVES us!!!111 in Milan and does not love you).
Also, the genius of la signora Montserrat Caballé reappeared on stage for a rare, fantastic cameo, even tastier than a Sachertorte: she played the Duchess of Krakenthorp, simply honoring the audience with her legendary presence.
