This month, Violeta Urmana appears in Giuseppe Verdi's La forza del Destino at Munich's Bayerische Staatsoper. It boasts the Lithuanian soprano as Leonora and Franco Farina as Don Alvaro, with Paolo Carignani conducting David Alden's production. If I was in Munich right now, I'd *so* go to this.
Poking around the Bayerische Staatsoper website, I discovered that Pierre Mendell's opera posters had been transformed into sweet e-greetings. How kewl? I'm totally sending these to my favorite music d0rks when I find the occassion.
