I need to show some ♥ love ♥ to all the kind opera bloggers that have responded so positively and encouragingly to the inauguration of my blog this first precarious week of going live.
But it was with all of you opera-fetishists firmly planted in mind that initially compelled me to start recording my experiences. I knew that I had been given a unique opportunity to share, in English, Italian performances that would have only been documented by critics in Italian language. I’m encouraged that there is an audience that is appreciative of these reviews, and for the glimpses into a culture that may be inaccessible for several reasons.
Therefore, I’d like to thank you opera bloggernauts for brightening the pulse of an encroaching grey Milan winter:
♥ Props to the NYC Opera Fanatic for adding me to his blogroll, and for a very cool alllusion in his blog this week.
♥ Props to Giorgia "no guru, no method, no teacher", for the awesome synopsis of me on her blog as a, “giovine pulzella nuovaiorchése”.
♥ Props to la bella diva La Cieca, who listed me to her blogroll, as well as a reference earlier this week.
♥ Mad props to Alex Ross the blogroll.
♥ And finally, props to SarahB for the blogroll.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I am trying clear my agenda so that I can attend tonight's Eugenij Kissin concerto at our Conservatorio for some late fall Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms, and Chopin.
(btw, for those I offended yesterday with my dismissive Bryn Terfel birthday salute, here is a picture of Sir Terfel about to tuck into some of Miss Alice Ford's delicious fried chicken. In Salzburg. He doesn't care much for knödel or wiener schnitzel!) :p
Buon weekend a tutti voi!
