to Bill ;) - ... "floor sprinkled down" - like Grand Duke Andrey did when he helped his wife Mathilde Kschessinska after her emigration to Paris .... they said he was with that watering can to support her ballet school in the way he could do...just like you depicted in your post ;)

Perfect timing! Yesterday Bolshoi Ballet broadcasted Coppelia live in HD to be seen in many countries; a beautiful performans!

to Alexander--I didn't know that story. Did she take her "gifts" of jewels from the tsar to found her school? Bravo on your spelling of her name!
