I left halfway during this performance. Since the Opera Royal de Wallonie's house is undergoing asbestos removal, they perform in a big tent by a busy (and loud) highway. Immensely disappointing, especially considering the quality of the cast.
Before putting up the tent, they also performed Samson & Delilah at the local basketball stadium. I don't know which one is worse...

Watched online so I guess the mics factored out a lot of the noise the folks attending live got subjected to.
Horrible production but great performances, Polverelli was very affecting but Ciofi was quite fantastic. Poor Laura though - really awful costuming!! Sheesh like it's not hard enough singing in a tent...
