Legendary American mezzo, cancer survivor, and an all-around kicka$$ lady, Marilyn Horne just donated an oil painting to Washington D.C.'s National Portrait Gallery. The portrait was painted of Horne in 1971 by John Foote. Now hanging on the walls (in addition to portraits of Leonard Bernstein, Maria Callas, Aaron Copland in scary bronze, Leontyne Price, and Marian Anderson) we can find the fabulous Miss Horne. Also Reggie Jackson!
