Opera Chic's favorite Im Abendrot?
All due respect to Renée's choice of Schwarzkopf, but by far Lisa Della Casa's "Vier Letze Lieder" is the closest to Opera Chic's heart. It's not on YouTube, but La Jessye is.
And she does thrill your soul, too.

David Lynch has it made it heaven. He ought to hire Renee Fleming for the soundtrack. After all, he knows and does **perversity** really well. And she is a master of the genre as well, no need to say.

Yes - for me della Casa, Jurinac, Tomowa-Sintow and Norman are the best 4LS

I'm not surprised; Lynch used "Im Abendrot" for the opening credits of Wild at Heart.

Definitely Della Casa and Norman, the latter because it was the first recording of them that I ever heard. These songs are my faves of all time!
