Bellinis With Bolle (Bollinis?) For Charity

Roberto Bolle, the face (and body!) behind the Italian House of Salvatore Ferragamo's ad campaigns, isn't spending his time in USA while dancing with Balanchine's the American Ballet Theatre foolishly. Bolle, a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, recently showed-up in support of a Ferragamo fundraiser for the people rendered homeless by the April 6 Abruzzo earthquake. Along with Ferragamo menswear designer Massimiliano Giornetti (in the photo above), Bolle toasted to the GlobalGiving Italy Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund and their Celebrity Handbag Auction.

Madonna, Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston, and Gwyneth Paltrow donated their Ferragamo handbags for the auction, with all proceeds going to GlobalGiving.

American Ballet Theater is one of the premier dance companies in the world, Mr. Bolle would be foolish not to dance with it. He's good but not really ABT good.

Brava Benita! You obviously understand somethng about dance and the particular direction of specific dance companies! People forget the magnetism of Nureyev and the boyish seduction of Baryshnikov (sp? sorry...) AND I'm only talking about them ONSTAGE!!! While Bolle is bravo and serious about his dancing let's not get lost in the pr hype of the "flavor of the month" club!
