Well I sure hope nobody falls prey to altitude sickness (literal in my case). The air is very rarefied and one does feel very odd indeed. But of course it is well worth it - I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
JDF should definitely work on his breathing (and drinking lots of coca leaf tea).

Nick - this seems to be a benefit to establish a youth orchestra scheme in Peru along the lines of the one which has been so successful in Venezuela - filthy lucre not involved here.

Ohh I've always wanted to go there. Plenty of time to plan a vacation... of course the last time I planned a vaca around JDF's schedule he canceled due to the Fishbone Incident. I bet he won't cancel this one.
