Opera Chic is happy to curtsy before the most honorable Graham Vick, who for his services to opera, theater, and Britain, has just been awarded the quite awesome honor of Commander of the British Empire.
So from now on it's "Graham Vick, CBE". Class act that he is, he immediately shared the honor with his Birmingham Opera Company crew.
Opera Chic has it on good authority that Her Majesty herself gave the motivation for Vick's honor as "that dude will f@?k your opera house up". One couldn't agree more.
