The terrible news of the earthquake in the Southern Italian region of Abruzzo bring to everyone's attention the need to help out the 100,000 who remained homeless, the 1,500 injured and the relatives of the more than 150 who died.
Italian newspapers Corriere della Sera and Gazzetta dello Sport, the most popular general interest broadsheet and the most widely read sports daily, have set up a fund: all information about bank account numbers and toll free phone lines for donations, etc, is here.
