Opera Chic in THE INDEPENDENT (Gheorghiu Gets Mentioned, Too)

Jessica Duchen honors Opera Chic with our second mention in The Independent in less than six months:

The blogger Opera Chic recently alleged that the Romanian star "hasn't fulfilled in ages a complete run of an opera she was under contract to appear in".

So, first we get quoted in a Katherine Jenkins profile (by restaurant critic John Walsh); then in an Angela Gheorghiu profile.

It's kinda downhill from here now is it?

PS In the Independent piece Angela accuses her haters of being uninformed re: famous Romanians who are not Dracula; Opera Chic denies this. Actually, her favorite Romanian isn't Dracula, it's Dinu Lipatti. Paul Celan is a close second. EM Cioran comes in third. Then it's Elie Wiesel, Mircea Eliade, film director Cristi Puiu and Internazionale FC defender Cristian Chivu. Then it's Dracula. Then there's that sweet server at one of our favorite pizza joints here in Milan.

Angela Gheorghiu is Opera Chic's tenth-favorite Romanian, actually.
