As we reported in the post below, the opening night of Filarmonica della Scala's 2008/09 was basically sabotaged earlier tonight by cranky unions, only to be (partially) saved last minute by the President of Conservatorio, who offered his (smaller than la Scala) Sala Verdi as a viable transplant & temporary venue for Daniel Barenboim and Radu Lupu (outside of Conservatorio, union workers from la Scala were distributing leaflets).
Too bad any non-Italian-speaking ticket holders had no idea what the heyll was going on tonight when they showed up at a darkened Teatro alla Scala: Filarmonica kindly posted a notice, but in Italian language only, so if you don't get Italian, sucks 4 u! Good luck!
But loggione ticket holders shouldn't be upset! Filarmonica, in addition to reimbursing your money, will give you a free "DVD Musicom". omg free sh*t? that makes everything better! Here's what the sign says, in all its run-on sentence glory:
People who have subscriptions or orchestra tickets, box tickets, or balcony tickets from 20 euro can go right to Verdi room starting 6pm with their tickets.
The other tickets will be reimbursed at the headquarters of Filarmonica della Scala at #6 Piazza Diaz from Monday, November 3 until Friday, November 9. From 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. With your reimbursement, you get a free DVD Musicom.
